Videos: Ultimate 1 - Basics
Ultimate Guard 1 - Basics

2 DVD Set
Beginner
US$60

Ultimate Guard 1: Basics begins with the 12 basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) techniques from the closed guard. These 12 techniques are essential for the novice and should be second nature for any experienced submission grappler.

Next we teach you how to combine techniques when countering your opponent's resistance. Once you understand the concept of how to connect the individual techniques, you should be able to create countless combinations of your own. One of the biggest differences between the novice and the experienced grappler is the ability to flow from one technique to another when facing resistance.

Last, we teach you various drills to maintain control over your opponent once your guard has been opened. However, as beneficial as the drills may be, the key is to understand the concept behind the drills. By understanding the concept, you will be able to handle any form of resistance an opponent may present.
